The Weight We All Carry

Student Panel Interest Form

Thank You

Thank you for your interest in sharing your story.

The Weight We All Carry is a community event that brings together students, parents, educators, mental health professionals, churches, and community leaders to have honest conversations about the challenges young people face growing up in today's digital world.

Throughout the evening we explore topics including:

Social MediaSmartphonesGamingAnxietyDepressionIdentityComparisonLonelinessAcademic PressureFamily RelationshipsTechnologyMeaningful Connection

Our goal isn't to blame technology.

Our goal is to better understand how today's digital world impacts students and to help families, schools, churches, and communities build stronger relationships and healthier conversations.

Why Your Voice Matters

Adults spend a great deal of time talking about students.

Far less time is spent listening to students.

No research study, statistic, psychologist, or presentation can replace the perspective of someone who has actually lived these experiences.

Your story has the potential to:

  • Help parents better understand today's students.
  • Encourage other students who may be struggling.
  • Give educators valuable perspective.
  • Inspire healthier conversations about technology and mental health.
  • Bring hope to families who feel overwhelmed.

We are looking for students who are willing to honestly reflect on their experiences and share what they have learned.

You do not need to have a perfect story.

You do not need to have all the answers. We simply want authentic voices that can help others.

About This Application

This application is the first step in our selection process.

After reviewing responses, a small number of applicants will be invited for an interview.

Those interviews will help us build a balanced panel representing different experiences and perspectives.
